*Hotel Information*

For those that haven't yet made their hotel reservations, we’ve arranged 
for an NFB hotel block at the Doubletree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld! 
The Doubletree is less than a mile from the Rosen Centre and has 
amenities such as flat-screen televisions and microwaves in the rooms, a 
swimming pool, and several on-property restaurants. To make a 
reservation, call (800) 327-0363 and ask for group code “NFB.” Depending 
on your schedule, room rates will be more expensive on certain days. 
Rates are $89 for the nights of July 7-9. Rates are $159/night for July 
3-6 and $179/night for July 10-11.

Additional rooms may be found at a less expensive rate at the Clarion or 
the Red Roof Inn. You may call to book a room at the Clarion, (800) 
826-4847, with a king or two queen beds for $110/night. We also have a

or two full beds at the rate of $99/night. Both the Clarion and the Red

*Delta Air Lines Offers NFB Convention Travelers a Discount*

Individuals flying Delta Air Lines from July 2 through July 13, 2015, to 
attend the NFB National Convention in Orlando (from anywhere in the 
country) can receive a discount ranging from 2 percent to 10 percent, 
based on their specific travel information. Reservations and ticketing 
are available via www.delta.com/meeting

*Assistive Listening and Spanish Language*

This year the National Federation of the Blind Amateur Radio Division 
and the National Federation of the Blind Deaf-Blind Division will again 
offer special arrangements for severely hearing-impaired people 
attending convention sessions and the banquet. This will consist of 
transmission of the public address system signal over a special 
short-range radio transmitter for the severely hearing-impaired. 
Spanish-language translation of convention proceedings in general 
sessions and the banquet will also be provided using a similar 
arrangement. The special receivers required for these services will also 
be provided.

In cooperation with several state affiliates, the NFB will provide 
special receivers for these transmissions to those needing them. The 
receiver-lending will be managed by the Amateur Radio Division and will 
be operated from a table just outside the general session meeting room. 
A deposit of $40, cash only, will be required of anyone wishing to check 
out one of the Federation's receivers. The deposit will be returned if 
the receiver is checked in at the checkout table in good condition by 
the end of the banquet or within thirty minutes of adjournment of the 
last convention session that the borrower plans to attend. Batteries for 
the receiver will be provided. Anyone checking out a Federation receiver 
will be given, upon request, a miniature earbud-type earphone to use 
with the receiver.

The exhibit hall and the Independence Market, including the free 
literature section, will be combined in one location again this year—the

located for the past two years. As you come into the convention center 
via the covered walkway from the Rosen Centre, you will walk further 
into the main hallway and the exhibit hall will be on your left.

*Come one, come all to the Independence Market at national 
convention! Yes, we do want you to come see what is new in the market 
and buy until your heart’s content, but we are calling out for another 
reason as well. We need people to volunteer to work in the market during 
convention. The market is open Monday through Thursday: Monday and 
Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and Wednesday and Thursday from 
12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. The shifts on Monday and Tuesday are broken up 
into four-hour intervals, 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. to 5:00 
p.m. We really need help on Monday afternoon and anytime on Tuesday. Do 
you have some hours during the week that you could spare volunteering?
