Asunto: La Introducción de la Campaña de Servicio de los 75 Días

Compañeros Federacionistas,
  ¿Están interesados en marcar una diferencia positiva en su comunidad
mientras se trabaja para desafiar los conceptos erróneos comunes acerca 
de los ciegos? Al
celebrar el 75ºaniversario de la Federación Nacional de Ciegos (NFB),
la División de Servicios a la Comunidad de la Federación Nacional de 
Ciegos,
la División de Servicios a la Comunidad de California de la Federación 
Nacional de Ciegos, y la División de Servicios de la Comunidad del 
Distrito de Columbia de la Federación
nos sentimos orgullosos de presentar el proyecto de servicio de los 75 
Días, que tendrá lugar, del
12 de abril al 26 de junio. El propósito de este proyecto es fomentar apoyo
a los Federacionistas en lograr un cambio positivo en sus
comunidades. Además, demostrar que las personas ciegas no tienen que ser 
los destinatarios
de la caridad de la sociedad, que podemos dar de nosotros mismos a la 
sociedad y
al hacerlo, fortalecer nuestra creencia en la filosofía de la Federación.
  Usted puede participar en este proyecto de forma individual o con su 
capítulo
o con la familia, mediante la participación en un proyecto de servicio 
comunitario,
como voluntario para una organización sin fines de lucro, la iglesia 
local o la escuela, o
ayudar a los necesitados en su vecindario. Los participantes podrán
compartir ideas y recibir apoyo durante las conferencias telefónicas 
quincenales
cada dos domingos, y también tendrá la oportunidad de escribir sobre
sus experiencias en el blog Nacional de la División de Servicios a la 
Comunidad.
La primera convocatoria se llevará a cabo el domingo 12 de abril, a las 
7:00 hora del este. Las
fechas específicas de cada convocatoria se darán a conocer el próximo mes.

Fellow Federationists,
  Are you interested in making a positive difference in your community
while working to challenge common misconceptions about the blind? To
celebrate the 75th year of the National Federation of the Blind(NFB), the
National Federation of the Blind  Community Service Division, the NFB
Community Service Division of California and the NFB Community Service 
Division of the   District of Columbia
are proud to  present the 75 Days of Service project, which will take 
place from
April 12 to June 26. The purpose of this project is to encourage and
support Federationists in bringing about positive change to their
communities. Also,to show that blind people need  not  be recipients
of charity from society , that we can give of ourselves to society and
in so doing strengthen our belief in the philosophy of the Federation.
  You can take part in this project individually or with your chapter
or family, by engaging in a community service project, such as
volunteering for a nonprofit organization, local church or school, or
helping those in need in your neighborhood. Participants will be able
to share ideas and receive support during bi-weekly conference calls
every other Sunday, and will also have the opportunity to write about
their experiences on the National Community Service Divisionâ??s blog.
The first call will take place on Sunday, April 12, at 7 pm EST. The
specific dates of each call will be announced next month.
