A medida que estás llegando a ese punto de tu vida en el que sientes la 
necesidad de ser dueño de tu tiempo y pensamientos, ¿alguna vez has 
pensado en

ser dueño de tu espacio también?

¿Sabes que las altas habilidades de pensamiento espacial están 
correlacionadas con el éxito en ciencias, tecnología, ingeniería y 
matemáticas,(STEM), en la escuela y la carrera? Las habilidades

espaciales de pensamiento también son fundamentales para desplazarte 
exitosamente. Cuanto más fuertes sean tus habilidades de pensamiento 
espacial, más fácil será crear un mapa mental

y realizar todo tipo de otras tareas que son importantes para llegar a 
donde quieres ir en el medio ambiente ¡o en la vida!

Este verano, queremos brindarte algunas herramientas para desarrollar 
tus habilidades de pensamiento espacial mientras amplías tu conocimiento 
en ciencias, tecnología, ingeniería y matemáticas, STEM, y

conectarte con un grupo de

otros jóvenes ciegos de tu edad.

Desde el 5 de julio hasta el 30 de julio, el Programa Cociente de la 
Federación, NFB EQ, se volverá virtual. Los lunes, miércoles y viernes, 
estaremos facilitando clases que se enfocan en crear

habilidades de pensamiento espacial. Las actividades incluirán origami, 
dibujo creativo y técnico ¡y estructuras de construcción con una 
variedad de materiales!

Te enviaremos todo lo que necesitas para participar en las clases y, al 
final del Programa Cociente de la Federación, NFB EQ, tendrás más 
herramientas físicas en tu caja de herramientas (y más

herramientas en tu cerebro) que puedes aplicar ahora y en el futuro.

  Attention High School Students! Own Your Space!

As you’re getting to that point in your life when you feel the need to 
own your time and thoughts, do you ever think about owning your space too?

Do you know that high spatial thinking skills are correlated with 
success in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) in school 
and careers? Spatial thinking skills are also critical to being a 
successful traveler. The stronger your spatial thinking skills are, the 
easier it is to build a mental map and perform all sorts of other tasks 
that are important to get where you want to go in the environment or in 
life!

This summer, we want to give you some tools to grow your spatial 
thinking skills while expanding your knowledge of STEM—and connect you 
with a group of other blind youth your age.

>From July 5 through July 30, the NFB EQ program is going virtual. On 
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, we’ll be facilitating classes that 
focus on building spatial thinking skills. Activities will include 
origami, creative and technical drawing, and building structures out of 
a variety of materials!

We’ll send you everything you need to engage in the classes and, by the 
end of NFB EQ, you’ll have more physical tools in your toolbox (and more 
thinking tools in your brain) that you can apply now and in the future.
