Hello Everybody:

Congratulations to all who have had recent elections!

Our Polk Chapter held its elections on Saturday, Jan. 10.

The Officers and Board members are:
President - Joe King; V. President, Judy Black; Secretary, Jim Jones; Treasurer/Corresponding Secretary, Kitty King; Other Board Members:
Karolyn Shepherd; Marjorie Gay; and off-year member, Edwin Owen.

Not only do our Board members have responsibilities, but we involve other members to encourage their participation.  We have: Transportation Committee person, Sunshine, Braille Monitor, Fund Raiser, Membership, Diabetic--These positions are filled by both Board and other Chapter members.


Our officers have a two-year term.

Wishing you all "A Happy New Year".

Oh yes, I almost forgot!  We have begun plans for our annual Pancake Breakfast.  It is scheduled for Saturday, April 4. 

Hopefully, we can make it a Loouis Braille event, as well.  Come out and join us!!
