Elizabeth, This  is wonderful news! I thank you for forwarding this news to 
all of us. I am type 1 and have already had a transplant of both my pancreas 
and kidney respectfully. I have permanent damage to my retina's as well due 
to years of hypertension and my blood vessels bursting within my eyes until 
they got a point of permanent damage that cannot be reversed. I have been 
told that I could lose total vision if this damage continues as well. I will 
most definitely check further into this news and again, not just for myself, 
but for so many others like myself. You taking the time to forward this news
