This call to action concerns H.R. 734: The Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act
of 2009, To direct the Secretary of Transportation to study and establish a
motor vehicle safety standard that provides for a means of alerting blind
and other pedestrians of motor vehicle operation.

 

Please see below, the contact information for the Florida House offices that
have not yet cosponsored HR 734, the Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act.
Please contact these offices and urge the members to join as a cosponsor of
HR 734.  Jesse Hartle, Government Programs Specialist for NFB in Baltimore
informs me that, at our recent Washington Seminar, Representatives Klein,
Castor, and Meek were rated a four by our teams, meaning that the Floridians
who visited their offices came away with the impression that these members
had expressed strong support, so we should target them first.
