[Nfbf-l] CCB stay denied, please help

The Division of Blind Services is supposed to bring new, revised or
changes to substantive policy before the Rehabilitation Council before
implementing the policy. The Division does not have to abide by the Council
position on the policy, but has to explain the reasons for not following the
Council recommendations to the Rehabilitation Services Administration, the
Federal oversight agency. The Rehab Council will meet in Lakeland on April
8 and 9 and is open to the public.

So what you're saying, is if the director wishes to make any changes, they
have to have the councils approvel? Suppose the council says, no concerning
a certian policy, but DBS feels that it would help, can they just put the
polcy in place anyway?

In addition, any new or change in policy must be brought before the
Rehabilitation Council. I hope the NFBF representative on the Council will
inquire into this appparent change in policy. By the way, funding is not
permitted to be a part of vocational rehabilitation plan for a client.

Dan, I beg to differ with you. Near Clermont in Lake County is Sugarloaf
Mountain, a whopping 200 feet high. Now there's a mountain to climb! Don't
tell DBS about it, Beth. Daytona might incorporate climbing that particular
mountain in their curriculum.

As to the thing about Mt. Dora, roflmao. I am serious. That's funny.
But no, Florida has no mountains to climb and we also don't have
subways. That's a standard in big cities and I want to be able to
travel in all settings, and I mean ALL SETTINGS. That's in all
capitals btw.
