, We in Orlando are so PROUD of David for his dedicated efforts through out
the years for the NFB and his Chapter! He is certaintly one person I have
had the fortunate opportunity to have met early on in the NFB when I first
got involved and we had some nice talks about many topics through out our
trips to Tallahassee, Conventions, ETC. He is a great guy and I can't wait
to buy his book and the chapter dedicated to his work! Thanks for letting
all of us know about the book and what we need to do about purchasing one
of them! KH

Subject: [Nfbf-l] new guide dog book features David Bearden
Hello all,
In celebration of their 50th anniversary, the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation
has just released a book called "Trust the Dog" by Gerri Hirshey. It will
be available soon in bookstores, but it can be ordered now online, at
Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Borders websites. It's available in print and
commercial audiobook. One of the chapters is about David Bearden, and tells
about his work with NFB, and his care of foster children. David is
partnered with his second Fidelco guide Upton.
In the federation spirit,
Sherrill O'Brien, NfBf Board Member
President, Florida Association of Guide Dog Users
