Overall the hotel is a very impressive place. Not really hard to get around
other than the lobby. I found when the lobby was quiet my dog and I did
pretty well but during rush hour with a thousand kains tapping it was pretty
diffacult to be sure of where I was. Very easy to get turned around. Once
one is out of the lobby either in the area headed to the convention center
or the lower lobby its pretty clear.
I have to put in my two cents about the comments that were made about the
high cost of food. This is a very high end resort and if we were paying the
normal room rate I am going to guess many of us would not be staying there.
The food and drink pricing was very high when you are talking about a place
with $63.00 rooms but pretty much in line with a resort taht normally would
charge $150.00-$200.00++ per night.It wasn't cheap but I can't complain
about the quality of anything I had. Food was good, drinks were strong and
the staff was as helpful as you choose to let them be.
I would think with a group as large as the NFB there are members spread all
over the US and it would probably be nicer for many if it did alternate
between the east and west coasts. However since I am in south Fl. the
likelyhood of me returning in the future is much higher with it being up the
road in Orlando.
