The Daytona center is doing low vision training, and since I've 
been a CCB student, I knoww they have no expectations for the 
blind.  So that's what they're doing.

I think it's a great idea. Although I was looking forward to 
going to
LCB in the future; having one in Florida would certainly make the
justification and move-in processes a lot easier; plus, I think 
other
organizations in FL other than the NFB who think they are helping 
the
blind need a rude awakening. What is the Orientation And 
Ajustment
Center in Detona doing that's so wrong? My DBS Councillar is 
trying to
get me to go there for training instead of an NFB center; I'm 
going to
fight her on it when the time comes.

 I'm disgusted at what Florida's Daytona Beach center is doing.  
This is
 exactly the center I ha to deal with.  Men on the second floor, 
women on
 the third ... probably no co-ed visits in dorms.  My bf and I 
always had
 visits in our apartments, and he'll see me lots more.  We're 
probably
 going to marry someday, and I never would've imagined this when 
I went to
 the Florida center.  I'm sorry, but that's just what I feel.
