[Nfbf-l] Congradulations!

Kirk, you should know that the FDCP was discussed. Rick Brown did a great
job talking about the organization. Dan Hicks also said how pleased he is
with its tremendous growth in such a short period of time. I chimed in that
Lighthouse Central Florida has turned its entire donation and distribution
program over to us and Holly told about the number of CCTV's and other items
we have both collected and donated. We talked about the website as well. I
will keep sending out e-mail to the list reminding them about this wonderful
service you have founded that brings such joy to blind and visually impaired
people. I am extremely proud of all you have accomplished. Now that Lenora
has so ably taken the office of secretary, it frees up a little more of my
time to help the FDCP.

Congratulations to the new board members and officers. We do have a very
strong and competent board. I really will miss knowing what's going on but
will still be glad to help in whatever way I can. Lenora, I have two sets of
minutes to finish, one for the last president's committee and one for the
president's committee meeting that occurred at the Convention. I will keep
the files of the minutes I have taken as well as other correspondence on my
computer if that meets with the Board's approval, but will also send them to
you.

Thanks to all for the opportunity to serve as secretary for the last 6 years
and let me know in what ways I can continue to serve. Thank you.

Sherri Brun

PS: Sherrill O'Brien talked about the Imagination Fund and the Race for
Independence. I would urge all to sign up and get donations from your
friends and family, but if you do not sign up or if you just want to help,
please see the link below where you will go to my personal page. Remember
the imagination fund comes back to Florida in many ways.

Have you visited my personal page at

If so, Thank you for changing what it means to be blind.
If not, please go there now!
Thank you.
