Holly,

To piggy-back off of what Dave said, it really depends on what you
want it for. I believe you already have an iPhone, so maybe the wifi
model is better. You just have to make sure to download any content
onto it before you go on the road.

If you can aford it, I would recommend you get the new iPad. IOS 6 is
coming in the fall, and typically newer devices do better with newer
software since it generally requires more resources. There are also
rumors that an iPad mini, a 7 inch tablet, will be released in the
fall. This might not be true, but if it is it almost certainly will be
cheaper so you might want to hold off on your decision until then.

PS the Verizon model of the new iPad does support 4G if you were wondering.
