Kathy,
Glad for now Davey will be cared for and okay. Sorry for pulling out the cane for now. My 14 year old chihuahua went to vet limpng and I did not get nails done but happy it wasn't worse.

See you at convention.

Denise

Subject: [Nfbf-l] My Davey dog

Hello Everyone,
First let me thank those of you who provided friendship and support over
the past few days. Davey was very, very ill. When I got him to the vet on
Tuesday, he didn't even want to get off of his bed to eat - totally beyond
unusual for my sweet boy.
Dear friends of mind, Marilyn and Tom Root, took me to the vet's office
and I truthfully believe they were almost as concerned as I was. His
temperature was extremely high and he had a huge festering sore that was
oozing like crazy. There was great concern on the part of the vet that my
boy might have cancer. I was given all sorts of medications and other things
to care for Davey. He didn't have any appetite but was very thirsty because
of the antihistamines I was instructed to give to him.
Well, to make a long and most difficult story short, we went to the vet
again today and the totally wonderful news is that Davey does not have
cancer. He had a serious infection that got into his blood stream. The sores
are still there and they are not pretty but my boy will be on the road to
recovery now.
My dearest friends, the Roots, are going to care for Davey while I am at
convention. What a blessing they are! I will be eternally grateful to Tom
and Marilyn!!
I'll be coming to convention but without my loyal friend. Guess I'll
have to pull out those rusty cane skills now.

See you in Boca,

Kathy Davis
