> The NFBDaytona Beach Team worked diligently from Sunrise Saturday March 1st thru Sunset Monday March 3rd engaging the community in several effective efforts to promote “Read Across America” using the Dr. Seuss Happy Birthday celebration theme emphasizing Braille literacy with classics being read like Green Eggs and Ham, Cat in the Hat, Hop on Pop and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, that were read to both the sighted and blind  community, in churches, schools, along with the combined workshops provided by the world renown artist Horst Mueller of Hamburg Germany, who teaches young blind children around the world the tactile technique of expression through the unique form of art using the inspirational message that “Even Hands Can See.” This proactive method of engaging young blind members of society into believing in themselves, that they can do it too.
