Hello everyone, 

The NFBF 2015 State Convention has been scheduled for Martin Luther King
Memorial Weekend, January 16 - 19, 2015. 

After considering at least two locations, Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, and
gracious offers from both the Miami-Dade and Broward Chapters,  the city we
have chosen is Ft. Lauderdale. 

Please understand that both offers looked really good, but in the end, we
were unable to get the Miami hotel to give us the kind of room rates that we
need to have 

Also, Amtrak goes to Ft. Lauderdale from the North and the South. 

We are still working out the final details in the contract, so we are not
yet asking you to make reservations. As soon as everything is ironed out and
established, we will let you know how to make you room reservations and to
register for the convention. 

Hope to see you all at this wonderful event. 

Prepare to set sail for Ft. Lauderdale!

Good afternoon.  

 

I saw the announcement a few days ago about the 2015 state scholarships.  

 

That caused me to wonder if we have dates and a location for the state
convention yet.  

 

We will need to know so we can begin to plan accordingly, especially if it
is another winter convention like we had this year.
