Hello chapter members and friends and my NFB family,
Starting off with the bad news. At our meeting/holiday party, we discussed
that the Hertz corporation was offering a complementary vehicle to
non-profit groups. I did write to the person and just got an e-mail back
denying the vehicle. No reason was given. So we have to work out other ways
to get to the state convention. I really need to knoww if anyone is
interested in attending. As a chapter, we voted to defray the cost of your
room stay with one night's pay. This will be reimbursed after you attend the
convention. we will, still, however, pay your banquet and registration fee
ahead of time if you plan on going. We want to send that in via check ASAP.
Please let me know if you are planning on going. We do not want to pay for
banquet and registration if you are not going to be there. It is extremely
important that you attend, as lots of positions are up for election on
monday morning. Even if you can only afford two nights, come in on Saturday
morning and you'll still have most of the convention to enjoy. Also, our
representative from the National Center will be President Mark Riccabono. We
are honored to have him attend our convention. Again, I can't encourage you
strongly enough to please plan on attending.

Other news. Our chapter holiday party was lots of fun. We had 16 people
attending including a new family andfrom that family, we got our newest
chapter member, a very enthusiastic 93-year-old lady. Her granddaughter and
great-granddaughter also attended the meeting. We are excited to have
Katherine as our newest and oldest chapter member. The party was lots of
fun. The food was good. We played a couple of games and gave out door prizes
and did a gift exchange. Those of you who were not there were missed.

We will not be meeting in January because of the state convention. However,
we hope to see all of you on Saturday, February 20.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and as your chapter president, I
wish all of you a very merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah or whatever holiday
you celebrate and a most happy and prosperous New Year. May "the Force" be
with you.
