Could you please describe the quality of the voice. Is there a port to use a head set or earbud? And,while I have you here, how much are the devices?  Immostlyneeding to know about voice meeting my hearing needs.

   Here's another Kathy responding to your enquiry about a bar code scanner. I have a refurbished I.D. Quest that I think is terrific. It is smaller than my earlier I.D. Mate. I would suggest that you get in touch with Envision America. The folks there are very helpful. I live alone now that I am a widow and would be lost without my I.D. Mate. I simply do not want to deal with an app on my Iphone but much prefer a separate unit. I love the fact that if you scan an item that is not part of the database, you can simply get a sighted person to read the directions and then they will be there for future use. It is simply a most wonderful product.

    My husband and I are wanting to purchase a talking bar code scanner. I have heard of the I.D. mate summit and the I.d. Quest. I’m not sure I understand if there is any real difference between the two. If anyone has any input on these products and where might be the best place to purchase one, please feel free to voice your opinion.
