[Nfbf-l] REMINDER, Blind Parents Meeting Tonight and Goals/Mission Statement

Brooke  here. I sure didn’t intend to miss any meeting at eight. However I did indeed miss  two, one at 8 PM the NFBF DB division board meeting   and I intended to pop in to parents sometime during the 8 o’clock hour.

Instead, I got home about 7:20 PM and had come from a long day of meetings, one this morning with the county commissioners regarding para transit, then two meetings, club & a support group  this afternoon from one until 4:30 PM

Had a light supper and remembered The commissioners meeting replayed at 6 PM I was about two hours into the meeting so was able to catch the entire paratransit portion. Yeah so got to hear my cell make more sense than I thought I did.  Smile smile smile

Goals/Mission Statement:

To serve as a resource or network for other Blind or Visually Impaired
Parents within the state of Florida.
To reach out to Blind or Visually Impaired Parents who could benefit from
the philosophy, resources,programs and services that are offered by the
National Federation of the Blind and the Florida affiliate.
To educate the public of the normalcy of Blind Parenting.
To assist Blind or Visually Impaired Parents who are having difficulties or
challenges with custody or other legal concerns.

Note:
Please be aware that these guidelines do not solely pertain to Blind or
Visually Impaired Parents ONLY, if another relative or individual is caring
for children and they are Blind or Visually Impaired, we would be more than
willing and able to provide assistance.
