[Nfbf-l] REMINDER, Blind Parents Connect for Florida Meeting and Final Version Goals and Mission Statement

Good Evening,

Hope you are having a Happy Monday!  This is a reminder that we will have our Blind Parents Connect for Florida call tomorrow evening.  It will take place at 8:30pm.  The call in information is:

During this call we will discuss changing our call to a later time of 9pm on the same night as we currently meet or the options of a different day.  It has been brought to my attention that we have several individuals who would love attend our meeting but our meeting is conflicting with the Death Blind Division Meeting.  I want all who wish to be apart of our group to be able to attend.

In addition, we will discuss the future topics and agenda for our meetings.

Finally, we will also discuss if anyone has any questions pertaining to the Final Version of our Goals and Mission Statement for our Blind Parents Connect for Florida.

Goals/Mission Statement:

To serve as a resource or network for other Blind or Visually Impaired Parents/Gardian’s within the state of Florida.
To reach out to Blind or Visually Impaired Parents/Gardian’s who could benefit from the philosophy, resources,programs and services that are offered by the National Federation of the Blind and the Florida affiliate.
To educate the public of the normalcy of Blind Parenting.
To assist Blind or Visually Impaired Parents/Gardian’s who are having difficulties or challenges with custody or other legal concerns.

Please be aware that these guidelines do not solely pertain to Blind or Visually Impaired Parents ONLY, if another relative or individual is caring for children and they are Blind or Visually Impaired, we would be more than willing and able to provide assistance.
