Here is a message that I received from one of our members. I am forwarding this because I and others thought this information might be helpful. This message came from one of the FCB email lists, but it should apply to all blind Spectrum customers in Florida.

Dear Spectrum customer:

We have been working with Spectrum on your behalf. Spectrum has worked diligently to improve the customer experience and in fact just launched their flagship accessibility solution for Guide Narration for their customers who are blind or visually impaired through their Spectrum Guide. The agreement reached with FLORIDA Council of the Blind and the Pinellas Council of the Blind with assistance from its member Access Ready Inc. will entitle current eligible Spectrum customers who are blind or visually impaired recipients to receive a fully accessible Spectrum Guide set top box, which will be installed by a qualified specially trained service technician, as well as receiving a monthly credit on Spectrum bills for a number of future months.

Spectrum has a special offer for existing qualified Florida Spectrum customers and we would like to make sure you are included. This offer is only valid for Florida residents and dissemination of this notice should be limited accordingly. To qualify for this offer:

One must be a current Florida Spectrum customer for at least 6 months
