[NFBF-L] Door-to-Door Visits Begin Nationwide for 2020 Census

This census is very important to help Floridians and especially the blind community to receive a proportional share of federal money distributed to states. We had a census speaker at our Greater Daytona Beach Chapter meeting last February just before the CORVID 19 virus suddenly put us in quarantine. The door to door back-up counting should have been taking place since April but was delayed. So far, the census response has been less than previous years. In addition, the Trump administration is going to stop counting at the end of September instead going through the remainder of the year. Trump and the Senate McConnell leadership prevented a requested extension through March 2021 for  additional door-door counting because of public health delays.
I hope all NFBF members, their families, and friends send their census reporting forms or request help to complete them.
