Good Morning Everyone!

I think with all the cooler temperatures here in Florida this week, we could all use a little warm sunshine, but you can't have sunshine without sunrise, so why not join us this Thursday, December 3rd for our wonderful Sunrise and Shine with NFB Newsline gathering.

We'll cover a few different topics this week, including digesting what everyone did for Thanksgiving, planning our future calls for 2021 and greeting a special guest. Oh, and as promised, we'll also talk a bit about our last call of the year and how much fun we will have testing our gray matter with trivia in a couple of weeks. I might even give out a couple of clues for questions, (so everyone with us tomorrow will have an advantage over those who are doing less important stuff, like going to work or the doctor).

I don't know how Kaye Baker, President of the NFB-FL's Greater Jacksonville Chapter feels about being called a special guest, after all she's been with us all enough since April to be just one of the Sunrise and Shine family, but that doesn't make her any less special and tomorrow she will be providing us with a special presentation. Kaye will dive into some information that came across our emails a few weeks ago regarding IRS services for the blind. She will tell us about the agencies Alternative Media Center and how this outlet can provide us with critical information in a format we can actually use independently. As with presentations earlier in the year, (during the rollout of the Federal stimulus payments), Kaye has a wealth of knowledge to impart and I know we will all benefit from her time with us.

We always have a great time together, learning a bit about NFB Newsline, learning from one another and sharing what we've been up to. Tomorrow morning, December 3rd, at 10:00 a.m., we'll do just that!

I hope you will take the time to stop by and say hello. If you haven't yet joined us on these fantastic Zoom calls, I know you will find the regulars who have been joining us since the beginning, to be warm and welcoming. Sometimes the chatter gets a bit lively, but that's all part of the fun, (or maybe it's the strong Albanian coffee).

Again, we will use the Zoom platform for the call, but if you haven't spent much time on Zoom, don't let that keep you away either. There are several different ways to call in, including the familiar conference call method of using your landline or mobile phone to dial a phone number and access code. I hope that with Sunrise and Shines out of the ordinary time slot , we will get to hear from some of the family and friends we have been missing.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me before the call at our NFB Newsline of Florida toll-free support line. Check the bottom of this email for the Zoom call-in instructions. Looking forward to visiting with you this Thursday. Who’s bringing the hot soup, warm blankets and the fake fireplace logs??
