Our national office is working hard to switch to a virtual convention. Our members input is welcomed by President Riccobono and you can send your ideas to: OfficeOfThePresident at nfb.org.  We don’t know what platform will be used for national. We want as many members to be able to participate tand participate in the whole convention. 

It will be a great idea to listen to the presidential release and you can look for an email on this list when it is available. It is better to participate live like going to a live game yet watching a game later is better than not seeing it at all. Those of us that participated live can get what we missed. 

If you registered for national convention to attend in Houston, you should have been contacted to see if you want the money back or if you want to donate it as the virtual convention will still cost money. You will need to register for the virtual convention by 6/15/20 by visiting: https://www.nfb.org/registration. You should get a confirmation email  but check your spam folder just in case. If you don’t get a confirmation email you can contact nfb at nfb.org or call: 1 (410) 659-9314. There is a printable form to register if needed on the convention page.

Hotel reservations
*If you booked a hotel room in Houston, Texas for the convention, a full refund will be issued, so please do not call the hotel to cancel at this time. Both the Hilton and Marriott reservations staff are working to cancel reservations and providing full refunds to the credit card used to secure the room. Because both hotels are working reduced hours with limited staff, it may take up to two weeks for your refund to be issued. If you have not seen a credit to your account by May 8, please send an email to Susan Skaarer at sskaarer at nfb.org with your confirmation number so we can confirm the cancellation of your reservation with the hotel. For those of you who may have made a separate reservation for additional rooms/nights before or after the convention, you will need to contact the central reservations line at 800-236-2905.

The dates of the convention are 7/14-18/20

7/14 seminar day
7/15 division day
7/16 board, resolutions, and open ceremonies in evening
7/17 general session
7/18 general session and banquet
