[NFBF-L] NFB of Florida - Legislative Advocacy and Concerns meeting - Tuesday, April 22nd at 8:00 PM

Good morning,, everyone!

 

Since our last meeting in March, time seems to have flown by. Please forgive
the late notice of our regular, fourth Tuesday of each month gathering. We
have some important things to address, including the status of several
critical bills that had been introduced into the Florida House and Senate
during this action-packed2025 legislative session. Are there more bills that
we need to focus on in Tallahassee? We'll have an answer to this question
from Camille.

 

More work is needed of course, as it always is, on the Federal front. We'll
have an update on our national priorities and will also bring you up to
speed with the latest on the Section 504 lawsuit, we are watching for some
developments that might occur today

 

We also have two new Congressional Representatives from Florida settling
into their offices in Washington. We review the results of the two special
elections that took place since our last meeting.

 

Please make time within your busy schedules to attend our third post
Washington/Tallahassee Seminars meeting for the year. 

 

I mentioned this last month, but don't mind saying again that Florida has an
amazing group of individuals involved in the legislative process, let's keep
the work going and keep advocating for all blind people in our wonderful
State.
