I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of Bill Outman. I ran a Writers group for a while for Accessible World, and he was very active. I did not know him well, but his love of words and writing and his competency as a blind person were evident. I’m so sorry we have lost him so soon.
Prayers and gratitude to his family.

Oh my Goodness,
I am very sorry to hear about the death of Bill Outman. He was a good friend to so many people in our Affiliate. Bill worked hard in order to remain independent. He is going to be missed. Praying for his family and friends. Bill loved the Lord Jesus. He participated in our Blind Christians Group, and was looking forward to being an active member of our Deaf Blind Division.
Blessings,

Our wonderful friend William “BILL “Hall Outman died this afternoon on Friday May 9 2025 in Halifax Medical and Health Center Daytona Beach of residual physical effects from a stroke this past week.
When Bill was taken off life supports, Bill’s brother Wayne and sister Lora, his friend and stepfather Brian Norton, numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins were present in his hospital room praying with his Pastor David Troxler of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ Daytona.
Bill was 60 years old, and has been an actively involved member of the National Federation of the Blind of Florida for the past 30 years.
Bill had been an amazing Secretary for his NFBF Greater Daytona Beach Chapter for numerous years, and his interesting and detailed minutes were often better than the collective memories of those participants attending. Bill was a unique and talented writer and a perfectionist on the savant autism scale.
Bill had a love of baseball, and could recite from memory the baseball players names and statistics for baseball history going back during the last 100 years.
Bill was extremely well informed about politics and legislation, and was an active member of the NFBF legislative committee, and the Florida Democrat Disability caucus.
Bill was a graduate of the St. Augustine Florida School for the Blind, and a schoolmate of Peggy Fleischer. Bill has been a client and student for the past several years at the Conklin Davis Center for the Visually Impaired, and a ceremony at the Conklin Davis Center will be held for Bill Outman on Tuesday May 13, 2025 at 2:30 p.m.
We will send out a Flyer describing this event for Bill in a subsequent notice.
Please keep Bill and his family in your prayers,
