Hi,

 

I saw your email regarding sponsorship.

 

I would love to apply and would love to attend. However from reading the
questionnaire I don't think I would qualify.

 

I am fairly new to the US, and I would like to get envolved, however do not
have much of a history with the organization so far.

 

I am on disability taking a certification program, and writing a book
currently. I have not worked.

 

However my experiences with advocacy, speaking, diversity initiatives and
community involvement back in Canada is extensive.

 

Let me know if I can apply, or for sponsorship it needs someone who has a
history of involvement already?

 

Wanted to let you know that I already set up with my guide dog school GDB,
to conduct a workshop during their reunion this fall, and with an
organization holding a summit in November called the blind travel summit.

 

I have traveled to 36 countries and 11 solo, so there is so much I can
contribute, and if you want me to do anything at the State convention, I'd
be more then happy to.

The deadline is fast approaching for you to turn in your sponsorship

Are you attending The National Federation of the Blind of Florida State
Convention in Altamonte Springs? 

Would you like some cold hard cash to offset some of the cost of attending
convention?

Click on the link below and you may be the recipient of one of our affiliate
sponsorships. 

Recipients of this grant must demonstrate through written and oral means a
genuine interest in, and commitment to the effort of the National Federation
of the Blind of Florida.  During convention, mentors will be available upon
request. All submissions must be received by September 15, 2025. Late
submissions will not be considered.

Awardee Expectations
Recipients of the grant are expected to complete the following:
. Attend both of the general sessions which will be held on Saturday and
Sunday morning.

. Attend Two workshops (of your choosing)

. Attend the banquet.

. If assigned, assist with a convention activity.

.Complete a written or verbal post-convention report demonstrating what you
have gained from the experience.
