[NFBF-L] Reminder: MEETING DATE CHANGE: Florida Statewide Chapter Meeting Rescheduled to June 28

Hello statewide advocates,

I am writing to announce a change to our upcoming June meeting schedule. Originally, our meeting was set for Sunday, June 21. However, because that date falls on Father’s Day, we will be moving our meeting to the following week.

As a chapter—and as part of the National Federation of the Blind of Florida as a whole—we highly value family time and always aim to accommodate major holidays whenever possible so our members can celebrate with their loved ones.

Please note the new details for this month's meeting:

New Date: Sunday, June 28

Time: 7:00 PM

Special Format: Open Affiliate Board Meeting

A Special Note for June 28: This will not be our usual standalone chapter meeting. At 7:00 PM, the National Federation of the Blind of Florida will be hosting an Open Affiliate Board Meeting.

Instead of holding our standard chapter session, we want all of our members to attend and participate in this statewide Affiliate Board meeting. This is a fantastic opportunity for our chapter to engage at the state level, make our voices heard, and actively participate in the broader federation community.

Action Item: Please update your calendars and plan to join us on June 28 at 7:00 PM for the Open Affiliate Board Meeting. The Zoom details will be sent out to everyone as soon as they are obtained.
