Hello,, everyone!

 

No time to waste, some truly important legislative advocacy action still needs to take place by all of us. We will hold a legislative advocacy and concerns meeting on a special night, Wednesday May 27th, at 8:00 PM. Camille Tate and I will be able to brief you all about what steps we need to take at this time. 

 

Overall, we still have many unfinished goals, and we won’t be able to accomplish them without your help. Your 2026 Washington Seminar Delegation knew this as well and is prepared to keep working throughout the remainder of the 119th Congress, (that means we’ll keep at it until the end of the year…that was our promise to you). 

We will have some good news to share with you all, which I have found  to be very inspiring. 

On Wednesday, we’ll bring you up to date on important legislative priorities both in Washington and in Tallahassee. I know Camille is eager to tell you all what’s happening within the Florida House and Senate, by the way, our elected officials in Tallahassee might be called back into special session again. We want to stay on top of that and want to learn about any actions that we should be prepared to take to protect our rights. 

 

Please make time within your busy schedules to attend this truly important Legislative Advocacy and Concerns meeting. 

 

I’ve mentioned this in the past, but don’t mind saying again that Florida has an amazing group of individuals involved in the legislative process, let’s keep the work going and keep advocating for all blind people in our wonderful State.
