[nfbmi-talk] Want to attend national convention? First Time Scholarships for 2011

Hello. The Michigan Association of Blind Students would like to help interested persons who have never attended a national NFB convention apply for a convention scholarship to attend this year's conference in Orlando. Financial assistance may be available to those who wish to attend but may not be able to afford the costs. To do this, you will need to write a letter of interest and also receive a recommendation from a chapter or division president or another state leader.
If you are interested and would like some guidance in this process, please feel free to Email jj at bestmidi.com. You do not need to be a student to receive a first-time scholarship. The deadline to submit applications is April 15, but it's better to submit the information earlier if possible.
Note this is different from the national scholarship program for college students. That deadline is March 31.
