If you would like to be more involved in transportation issues, Easter
Seals' Project Action is a good resource.  You can ask to be put on their
mailing list by emailing info at easterseals.org.  They want consumer
involvement, and in my experience, treat consumers as valued partners. 
If you email them about transportation, mention Project Action.  Below is

Digital Transportation Exchange Initiative - New Online Community
The U.S. Department of Transportation is pleased to champion a new
Departmental initiative called the Digital Transportation Exchange (DTE)

online platform that creates a dynamic space for transportation
solutions. The U.S. DOT is seeking feedback from stakeholder groups and
subject matter experts during the formation of this new platform.
