Birding by Ear at Camp T

 

Happy World Migratory Bird Day,

On Saturday May 9 the entire world will be recognizing the fascinating
migration of birds. Here in Michigan we have many song birds to welcome back
as well as birds of prey, raptors, such as Falcons, and various species of
hawks.  I hope you can get out and hear some new songs in your neck of the
woods.

In three weeks the Birding by Ear and Beyond program will be traveling to
Camp Tuhsmeheta, 10,500 Lincoln Lake Road near Greenville Michigan. From 3p
m on May 29-10a m May 31 we will have the priviledge of walking the trails
to encounter returning song birds who have Chosen Camp T to settle down and
raise a family. Some of them will have traveled all the way from Argentina
which is over 5500 miles away. We will also be reestablishing the Butterfly
Garden and planting lots of sensory herbs for the children to enjoy during
our BELL Academy in July.
