Special Note
On behalf of the Michigan Association of Blind Students, we would like to wish all the mothers a happy mother's day!

Membership Matters
By Vice President KaShonia Graham

Membership is more than just signing up for an organization. It is about connection, growth, leadership, and community. That is what makes the Michigan Association of Blind Students so special.
This month, I want to give a very special welcome to our two newest members, Cadence and Sierra! We are excited to have you join a division filled with passionate, supportive, and determined people who believe in advocacy, friendship, and building each other up.

MIABS is a place where students can grow, use their voices, build leadership skills, travel, participate in fundraisers, and connect with others who understand their experiences. Through the National Federation of the Blind, we learn that blindness does not define us or limit our future.
Our organization is moving, growing, and continuing to build momentum. Look out because we have some exciting things ahead, and we are excited to have new members joining us on the journey. Every new member brings fresh ideas, energy, and perspective to our division.
Welcome to the MIABS family, Cadence and Sierra. We are glad you are here!!

Our division members will be offering their talents and skills to members of the federation and outside of the federation. You will be able to purchase the product or service and the money that you pay will go directly back to the division to support programming, in person and virtual events.
