Subject: [NFBNLC] NFB Picnic July 19, Please RSVP

Hello Federationists and Friends,

It is official! We will be having our annual NFBN Lincoln Chapter picnic on
Saturday, July 19. It will be from 10AM until 1PM at Robert's Park, the
same location where we have had it the last few years. Hog Wild will be
there with their food truck. There will be a flat $10 cost for lunch which
will include one meat option, two sides, and a drink. We will need a head
count so Hog Wild will know what to prepare for. If you plan to have lunch
from the food truck, pleas RSVP by emailing either me or Audra. Directions
to the park can be found below.

Thanks.

Mark

The following is the wonderful park information and directions sent out by
Jamie last year:

Playground equipment basketball courts and restrooms are located right next
to the picnic shelter. Walking/driving directions are listed below.

The side of Roberts Park where the activities will take place is on 58th
Street between Franklin Street and Sumner Street on the West side.

Driving Directions:

>From South Street, go north on 58th Street two blocks. Just before Sumner
Street, there is a parking lot off 58th street. You may park in this lot
and take the sidewalk from the parking lot to the shelter.

The sidewalk curves and twists, so just keep the grass on your left and
follow it around. The first opening you come to will be the water fountain.
Continue on the sidewalk and the next opening on the left will be the
shelter.

>From A Street, go south on 58th Street to Sumner Street. Just south of
Sumner Street there is a parking lot off 58th Street. You may park in this
lot and take the sidewalk from the parking lot to the shelter.

The sidewalk curves and twists, so just keep the grass on your left and
follow it around. The first opening you come to will be the water fountain.
Continue the sidewalk and the next opening on the left will be the shelter.

Walking Directions:

This Park is served by two different bus lines. #40 Heart Hospital on South
Street and #54 Veterans Hospital on A Street.

#40 Inbound.

The bus stops at 59th and South on the northwest corner. Head west to 58th
Street. Cross 58th and walk north on the west side of the block. Cross two
streets and about another block down there will be a sidewalk leading to the
shelter. It is the only sidewalk on the west side of the street in that
block.

The sidewalk curves and twists, so just keep the grass on your left and
follow it around. The first opening you come to will be the water fountain.
Continue on the sidewalk and the next opening on the left will be the
shelter.

Alternatively, about 60 feet after you clear the bushy plants on your left
you will hear the music from the shelter and can cross the grass to get to
the shelter from the back side.

#40 Outbound.

The bus stops at 59th and South on the southwest side. Head west to 58th
Street. Double cross 58th and South and walk north on the west side of the
block. Cross two streets and about another block down there will be a
sidewalk leading to the shelter. It is the only sidewalk on the west side
of the street in that block.

The sidewalk curves and twists, so just keep the grass on your left and
follow it around. The first opening you come to will be the water fountain.

you will hear the music from the shelter and can cross the grass to get to

#54 Inbound.

The bus stops on the north side of A and between 58th Streets and Crestline.
Once off the bus head west and shoreline to find the pedestrian crossing.
Cross A street and continue West to 58th Street. Cross 58th Street and head
south on the west side of the block. Cross three streets. After the third
street there will be the parking lot to the park on your right. Just past
the parking lot is a sidewalk leading to the shelter.
