[NFBN-Announce] Help Us Celebrate 200 Years of Braille—Support Blind Children in Nebraska!

We’re thrilled to announce that the NFB of Nebraska Lincoln Chapter is participating in Give to Lincoln 2025—and this year, your support can go even further!

 

We’re raising funds for our National Federation of the Blind Braille Enrichment for Literacy and Learning®  Academy (NFB BELL®  ), a two-week summer program in Lincoln for blind and low-vision children ages 4–12. The 2025 Academy will be held June 9–20, and this year’s theme celebrates 200 Years of Braille—a timeless tool of literacy, independence, and empowerment.

 

Every donation helps us provide:

*	Braille instruction and books
*	Accessible games and learning materials
*	Nutritious snacks and lunches
*	Field trips, transportation, and more.

 

Here’s why now is the perfect time to give:
All donations made between May 1 and May 29 will be boosted by a $650,000 matching fund provided by Lincoln Community Foundation and generous sponsors. Your gift not only supports blind children—it also helps us earn a larger share of the match!
