message from Jones PropertyMaintenance... I am starting this gofundme to
ask for your support. Bottom Feeders Fishing Club is in participation with
the National Federation of the Blind of Harnett County (NFB of Harnett
County).  We are hosting the 1st ever Fishing for Vision Catfish Tournament
to benefit the NFB of Harnett County.  The tournament will be held at
Riverside Bait & Tackle 1122 Person St. Fayetteville NC on January 16&17
2016

            The National Federation of the Blind is the leading advocate of
the blind and visually impaired within North Carolina.  Founded in 1940,
the National Federation of the Blind is the nation’s largest and most
influential membership organization of blind persons. With more than 50,000
members, The NFB has affiliates in all fifty states, Washington D.C., and
Puerto Rico, and over 700 local chapters.  As a consumer and advocacy
organization, the NFB is considered the leading force in the blindness
field today. The purpose of the NFB is two-fold --- to help blind persons
achieve self-confidence and self respect and to act a a vehicle for
collective self-expression by the blind. The National Federation of the

Blindness

Information and referral services

Literature and publication about blindness

Aids and appliances and other adaptive equipment for the blind

Advocacy services and protection of civil rights

Development and evaluation of technology

Support for blind persons and their families
Members of the NFB strive to educate the public that the blind are normal
individuals who can compete on terms of equality.  The National Federation
of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines
you or your future.  Everyday we raise the expectations of blind people,
because of low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our
dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you
back.
In order to keep these programs running, the NFB of Harnett County needs to
raise the funds to support their efforts. Therefore, I am writing to ask
for your help and support of this wonderful organization. All donations
will help us fulfill prizes for our tournament and funds for the NFB of
Harnett County to continue its mission of helping blind individuals lead
