Jennifer Shields, a 9th grade student in
Chesterfield County Public Schools, has "made the cut" and is one of 12
North American finalists for 7th - 9th graders in "The 2009 Braille
Challenge" sponsored by The Braille Institute.  And, I might add, the
ONLY student from Virginia!!!

We're all elated for her, her family, and her Teacher of the Blind and
Vision Impaired.

She and her parents are to go to Los Angeles, California in June for the
final competition.
