[Nfbv-announce] Announcing the Kick-Off Meeting of the Topping Chapter of the NFBV

If You Are Blind or Visually Impaired or Know Someone Who is, You Will be
Interested in Coming to a Kick-Off Meeting of a New Chapter of the National
Federation of the Blind of Virginia. 

The NFBV is open to all blind and visually impaired persons and fully
sighted people who are interested in working with the blind of the area.

In an effort to better serve all of Virginia's communities, the NFBV is
forming its Topping Area Chapter which is holding its planning  meeting
Saturday, September 18, 2010, at 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.at 2649 Grey's
Point Road, Topping, Virginia 23196.  This is the Topping Airport. 

Because this is the inaugural meeting of our Topping Area Chapter, we hope
you can come and be a part of its organizing activities.  You will learn how
the NFBV helps blind Virginians, have time to ask questions, and learn how
you can participate.    

Part of this INNAUGURAL first meeting will be learning about NFB-NEWSLINER.
NFB-NEWSLINER is a free service that you can receive over the phone where
you can read any of over 300 newspapers and over 20 magazines. When most
people lose their sight, one of the most missed activities is reading the
daily newspaper. NFB-NEWSLINER gives the gift of information TO THOSE WHO
CAN NO LONGER READ THE NEWSPAPER AND IT is as close as your telephone and it
is free. Come learn about and sign up for NFB-NEWSLINER.

Following the introduction to the NFBV, and learning about NFB-NEWSLINER,
please stay for refreshments, door prizes, and a chance to meet others in
the area who share your interests and concerns.
