Subject:  Commemoration of the 50 Anniversary of the March on Washington

 

Hello everyone,

 

On August 24, 2013, there will be a walk and rally commemorating the 50th
anniversary of the March on Washington.  Special accommodations are being
established to help insure that individuals with disabilities are included
in this historic event.  Individuals with a disability who would like to
participate in the event must arrive at the Foggy Bottom metro station by 10
AM.  Transportation will be provided from the station to a section in front
of the Lincoln Memorial.  After the conclusion of the march from the Lincoln
Memorial to the Martin Luther King Memorial, participants will be
transported back to Foggy Bottom station.  Also, requested are volunteers
with large capacity or wheelchair accessible vehicles to assist in the
transporting of participants with disabilities.  For further information
