The National Federation of the Blind of Virginia will host a residential NFB 


BELL Academy on the campus of Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, from July 28 - August 2, 2019.  Day 


students are also welcome.  This includes children with low vision, children who have recently lost their vision, children who have been blind since birth and children who have other disabilities in addition to blindness/low vision. 


  


In addition to Braille instruction, special projects, cane travel, games, and other engaging activities. Children may also enjoy field trips to local attractions.  Evening activities will include: swimming, adaptive sports, board games, singing, dancing and spending social time together just being kids. 


  


Tuition is $500 including a $50 nonrefundable registration fee and 


includes: lodging, meals and field trips.  Tuition for day students is $250.  Scholarships may be available.
