> Are you considering if it is worth investing time and money in attending the NFB National Convention this Summer in Houston Texas? If you have not attended or have not attended in years, you may not realize how the convention experience may lead to great results for you and your community.
>
> We are committed to helping people find the value and benefit of attending the convention, address concerns, and build our Virginia Federation community.

> When some of my friends attended their first NFB national convention and talked about how wonderful it was, I was glad for them but knew it didn’t apply to me. I attended my first convention in 1977 because my friends said they’d help me get my plane ticket so I’d travel with someone I knew; we’d figure out the hotel when we got there which meant I wouldn’t have to do that by myself; we’d eat meals together; pick up our registration materials together; and together, we’d attend as much or as little of special interest group and committee meetings as we wanted. At that point, I had run out of excuses to stay home so I requested time off from work and what a worthwhile and life-changing experience it was.

> Person to person, we help people tap the Federation network at the National Convention. The convention has become a great deal bigger over the years and we are committed to helping you make the most of the experience and find ways to make it meaningful. We will also cover ways to make it affordable and suggest programs to help.
