Subject: [nfbwatlk] Powerful School Job Opening in Seattle- Site
Coordinator - 10 hrs / week

For eighteen years, Powerful Schools has managed several school-day and
after-school programs at neighborhood schools. To keep one of our programs,
Powerful Learning Centers, running smoothly, we need a Site Coordinator to
work within the school community, with teachers, parents, students and wider
community volunteers. A Site Coordinator also plays an important role in
building greater parent involvement and improving the home/school
connections.

Powerful Learning Centers are after-school classes for kindergarten through
5th graders. This program is offered at each of the Powerful Schools(John
Muir, Orca, Beacon Hill, Hawthorne, and Graham Hill!)

We are looking for a Site Coordinator to run our after-school program on
Tuesdays & Thursdays at John Muir for the 09/10 school year!

A Powerful Schools Site Coordinator is needed to:
.communicate effectively with community, participants and school staff
.promote, recruit and enroll participants .facilitate communication between
Powerful Schools and school-community organizations .provide on-site
supervision for the program during class sessions .help plan and carry out
activities to encourage parent involvement and build the home/school
connection .assist school and community organizations with partnership
events

The Site Coordinator works 10 hours a week, 34 weeks a school year.
(Sept-May) Starting pay is $14/ hr.

Interested??? Please contact Debbie McGibbon at 722-5543 x 106 or
