Summary
Program Specialist 2
Part-Time Temporary Position

Clark College is currently accepting applications for a temporary, part-time Program Specialist 2 position.  This position in Disability Support Services (DSS) will work approximately 79 hours per month, July 2010 through June 2011.  The salary is $15.66/hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

*       Review student disability documentation.
*       Determine appropriate college level accommodation plans.
*       Oversight of policy/procedure requirements for students with approved accommodation plans.
*       Follow up with students with disabilities on Academic Early Warning.
*       Follow up on students' initial inquiries.
*       Track "no-show" information for student files.
*       Attend meetings and/or conferences as DSS representative.
*       Make public presentations regarding DSS services and access.
*       Provide information and technical assistance to students (current and future), staff, and outside entities regarding DSS program content, policies, and activities.
*       Refer students and the public to appropriate departments and outside entities.
*       Provide coverage (with appropriate cross training) for all DSS support staff.
*       Appropriately handle personal and confidential information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

*       Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
*       Experience working with people with disabilities
*       Experience reviewing disability documentation
*       Strong organization skills and attention to detail
*       Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
*       Excellent communications skills, including oral and written
*       Ability to multi-task and take direction from multiple sources
