Open house materials now available on the web

Thank you to everyone who ventured out in the rain to attend our open house
Monday night. If you weren't able to attend, you can view the open house
materials on our project
<http://www.seattle.gov/transportation/pave_85th.htm> website to catch up on
the latest information.

Early utility work in progress

. You may have already noticed Seattle Public Utilities doing early
utility relocation work on NW 85th St throughout the project area. SPU crews
will continue to relocate utilities in the project area over the next two
weeks to prepare for the paving project.

. SDOT crews have been working at the intersection of N 80th St and
Greenwood Ave N to switch out the electrical infrastructure for the signals
in advance of construction in this area. This work is expected to continue
for approximately one more week.

. Starting the week of Oct. 3, Puget Sound Energy plans to relocate
gas lines in advance of construction. PSE will notify you if your property
will be affected by this work.

Intersection work at N 80th St and Greenwood Ave N coming soon!

The first order of work is rebuilding the intersection of N 80th St and
Greenwood Ave N to improve the intersection before detours begin in January
2012. Crews plan to begin working on this intersection as early as the week
of October 10. The intersection work is scheduled to occur on both weekdays
and weekends.

. During weekdays: one lane of traffic will be maintained in each
direction on Greenwood Ave N and N 80th St.

. During weekends (likely two weekends): the intersection will be
closed on all legs and traffic detoured.

Businesses and neighbors near this intersection will receive more
information soon about what to expect during this work.
