Will someone in the Seattle area tell me which busses run near the WTBBL? I just encountered a rude Metro "customer service" employee who did not want to tell me all my options.

Subject: [nfbwatlk] Greater Seattle Chapter meeting - LOCATION CHANGE NEXT MEETING!

Hello everyone,

Our chapter meeting is next Saturday, June 15th. We are, however, going to meet at the Washington Talking Book and Braille Library (WTBBL). The address is 2021 9th Avenue (SW corner of 9th Ave. & Lenora St.) The library's Patron Advisory Council (PAC) scheduled an open meeting at 10 a.m. on the 15th, the same time as our chapter meeting.. They invited the Secretary of State, Kim Wyman, to their meeting, and she will be attending. It is for this reason that we are changing the location and time of our chapter meeting. I am urging ALL chapter members (and any other interested people) to arrive at WTBBL at 10 a.m. to attend the PAC meeting. We will then hold our chapter meeting there at 1 p.m.

It is very important for us to show Secretary Wyman that we care about our library, that it's services are a vital part of our lives and that further state budget cuts would be devastating. We also have our chapter barbecue and 2 fundraising events coming up this summer, so we definitely need to hold our regular meeting.

Please bring $5 for lunch. We will be having Pagliacci pizza delivered.
Also bring a dollar or two to enter the monthly 50/50 drawing. ($1 per ticket; buy as many as you like)

Here are our main agenda items;

* Upcoming chapter barbecue - Saturday, July 20th at 3 p.m. at the home of Noel Nightingale and Jim Peterson, 3800 S. Ferris Pl., Seattle. All are welcome! A separate announcement with details will be out later this week with more details.
* Patt Copeland of Vision Loss Connections will be talking about goalball and other programs of the organization.
* Seattle Mariners fundraiser
* 2013 Macy's Shop for a Cause
* Having a table at upcoming street fairs
* The NFB national vehicle donations program
* Hosting the 4th of July picnic for the YES summer program

As you can see, we have a busy summer ahead with many fun activities! Please plan on attending both the PAC meeting at 10 a.m. and the chapter meeting immediately afterward at 1 p.m.

Once again, the address is 2021 9th Avenue (SW corner of 9th Ave. & Lenora St., Washington Talking Book and Braille Library.

Have a great week! See you all on Saturday!
