Greetings,

Researchers at the University of Washington are conducting a study
about different design practices and are seeking people who use
accessible technologies to serve as technology experts and advisers
for design students.

If you are blind or visually impaired, or deaf or hearing impaired and
you use assistive or accessible technologies on a daily basis, you may
qualify for this study.

This study will consist of 3-5 focus group meetings of about 1-2 hours
each, which will take place over the course of the Fall quarter at the
University of Washington. These dates and times are:

•	Friday, Oct. 11 from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
•	Friday, Nov. 1 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
•	Friday, Nov. 8 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
•	Friday, Nov. 22 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
•	Monday, Dec. 9, TBD

Participants will be working with a group of students. If a
participant and his or her group feel that additional time is
necessary, they will schedule it with their group to occur at their
convenience outside of these times.

We will compensate participants in this study at a rate of $20 per
hour of participation for the first 5 hours and $25 per hour for every
hour thereafter. We do not expect time commitments to exceed 25 hours
over the course of the quarter.

If you are interested in participating in this study, please contact
Cynthia Bennett at bennec3 at cs.washington.edu or Kristen Shinohara at
kshino at uw.edu for more information.

Thank you,
Cynthia Bennett and Kristen Shinohara
