The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking
an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) subject
matter expert to assist the Washington State Ferries (WSF) in
achieving and maintaining compliance with the ADA and
to provide equal access to the traveling public. The incumbent will
combine passion and knowledge of the ADA to
provide independent consultation regarding external complaint
resolution and compliance to allow WSF to deliver a
safe and accessible traveling experience for customers with
disabilities. To achieve this, the incumbent will provide
education and guidance to staff members in regard to the ADA and equal
access.  Additionally, this position will be
responsible for investigating formal complaints filed against the
agency related to passenger disability
discrimination or equal access issues.  This position will also
coordinate meetings with public stakeholders and WSF
staff.

In addition to supporting WSF, the Accessibility Consultant will work
within WSDOT as the subject matter expert on
the Reasonable Accommodation process for employees; assist with
Diversity and Inclusion programs; and conduct
internal HR investigations into Title VII complaints.

independently to support the above activities. To be
