Help redress a serious injustice!

There are just two days left to help fund our legal challenge to a Human
Rights Tribunal decision that has severely undermined access rights for
people accompanied by guide dogs.

to help Graeme McCreath (who is battling this discriminatory decision on
behalf of all guide dog users.)

As many of you know, the British Columbia Human Rights tribunal has
permitted a taxi company to deny access to blind individuals accompanied by
guide dogs, despite clear language in the Guide Animal Act that makes such a
refusal illegal. All a driver needs to do to circumvent the law, according
to the Tribunal, is to make a claim of allergy after the fact. No proof
required; the claim is sufficient.

The Canadian Federation of the Blind is working with Graeme McCreath and
legal advisers to have this decision overturned. As we all know, freedom
isn't free. The battle we face is complex and will be fought on several
fronts.

We sincerely thank all of you who have supported us. There are just two days
remaining in our funding campaign; we appreciate all those who will be
making a contribution between now and December 31. Whatever you can do will
make a difference.

Mary Ellen Gabias, President

Canadian Federation of the Blind
