ADVISORY: Budget and legal staff to provide press briefing on contingency
planning tomorrow at 9:30am

 

Gov. Jay Inslee's budget director, David Schumacher, and legal counsel, Nick
Brown, will provide a press briefing tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. to discuss the
state <http://www.ofm.wa.gov/contingency/> 's contingency planning efforts
in case the Legislature doesn't adopt an operating budget before June 30.

 

The Office of Financial Management has been working with state agencies to
prepare for potential suspension of state services. Schumacher, Brown and
other senior budget officials will provide information about that process.
They will not discuss budget negotiations and the governor will not be
participating in the briefing.

 

TVW plans to livestream the briefing at tvw.org.
