I never thought about needing sound cues when traveling with a guide dog.

Blessings in Jesus' name
Philippians 4:6-7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all
understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

I snap my fingers. Lol. Not having a cane with me when I travel
with my dog (though some people think I should), it's either my
tongue or my fingers. I have also been known to whistle. Lol.
