May 18 will mark the 6th Annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) and the 4th year in a row I have organized and hosted an event in Olympia.

The purpose of GAAD is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital (web, software, mobile, etc.) accessibility &  inclusion and how people with different disabilities interact with digital services.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day Olympia 2017 will be from 2-4pm on May 18th. The event will be at 1500 Jefferson Street SE, Olympia WA, room 1213, the big room just off the main lobby on the first floor.

This year's event will have several presentations about accessibility and a demo section where people can checkout assisted technologies in action and ask questions about accessibility.
